LCRA each year buys a variety of goods and services from a large and diverse group of suppliers.  In fiscal year 2007, LCRA spent more than $343 million for everything from janitorial supplies and engineering services to bucket trucks used to repair transmission lines.

LCRA recognizes the importance of diverse business enterprises, including minority and women-owned, service disabled veteran-owned, or HUBZone businesses (Diverse Businesses) in the communities it serves.  That's why LCRA is expanding its relationships with these companies.  During FY07, LCRA spent over $48.3 million with Diverse Businesses.  This represents 14.05% of LCRA's total non-fuel expenditures.
