Which internet browsers work best with eRecruit?
For the best application experience, LCRA recommends that you use Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher.
Are there any internet browsers that do not work at all with eRecruit?
Yes. Opera is not compatible with eRecruit.
I have a dial-up internet connection, is there anything I need to be aware of?
Yes. Please move slowly through each page as you enter information or make selections by using the magnifying glass. Each page of the application refreshes after new data is added. If you move through the page too quickly, you could get ahead of the system and create an error.

No. Each individual applicant must have a unique email account to apply.
What if I don't have an email address?
You can use an internet search engine to find free email account providers. Some examples are mail.yahoo.com and www.hotmail.com. Human Resources and hiring managers occasionally use email to contact individuals. It is expected that the email address listed on your application is valid.
What does the magnifying glass symbol next to an empty field mean?
Click on it to make your selection from a list. Schools, degrees and referral sources are a few of the things that have a list of choices.
What should my Internet Explorer security settings be?
You will have trouble using our site if your Internet Explorer security settings are on 'High'. We recommend setting your internet security to 'Medium' or lower when you use our eRecruit site.
I'm getting an error message, what should I do?
Clear your internet browser cache by going to the 'Tools' option on the toolbar and selecting 'internet options'. From the 'general' tab in the new window, select 'delete files' and click 'ok'. Repeat this step, but check the box 'delete all offline content' and then click 'ok'. Then, close all of your browser windows, open a new browser window, and try again.
I'm getting a PeopleSoft login screen, what should I enter on this screen?
This screen is coming up because we tried to pass you a cookie, and your browser didn't accept it. Try closing down all of your browser windows, launching a new browser, and trying again. If that doesn't work, make sure you have cookies enabled.
Will I get a confirmation email after I apply?
Yes. You will receive an email almost immediately after submitting your application. You can also go to the view application status link from the 'Applicant Home' page of eRecruit to confirm that you have applied and check the status of other positions.
Do you support Macintosh?
Although we don't support Macintosh, our experience is that if you are using Mac OSX with Mozilla Firefox v 1.0 browser, your user experience should be comparable to Internet Explorer 6.0 on Windows. Safari and Internet Explorer on Macs do not work very well with eRecruit.
