Which internet browsers work best with the hiring system?
For the best application experience, LCRA recommends that you use Internet Explorer 7.0. You may also be able to use Mozilla Firefox.
Are there any internet browsers that do not work at all with the hiring system?
Yes. Opera is not compatible with the hiring system.
I have a dial-up internet connection, is there anything I need to be aware of?
Yes. There is a 45 minute timeout. You will need to have your resume prepared ahead of time.

No. Each individual applicant must have a unique email account to apply.
What if I don't have an email address?
You can use an internet search engine to find free email account providers. Some examples are mail.yahoo.com and www.hotmail.com. Human Resources and hiring managers occasionally use email to contact individuals. It is expected that the email address listed on your application is valid.
What should my Internet Explorer security settings be?
You will have trouble using our site if your Internet Explorer security settings are on 'High'. We recommend setting your internet security to 'Medium' or lower when you use our recruiting site.
I'm getting an error message, what should I do?
Clear your internet browser cache by going to the 'Tools' option on the toolbar and selecting 'internet options'. From the 'general' tab in the new window, select 'delete files' and click 'ok'. Repeat this step, but check the box 'delete all offline content' and then click 'ok'. Then, close all of your browser windows, open a new browser window, and try again.
Will I get a confirmation email after I apply?
Yes. You will receive an email almost immediately after submitting your application. You can also go to the view application status link from the 'Applicant Home' page to confirm that you have applied and check the status of other positions.
Can I reapply for the same position?
No. Applicants can only apply for each position once.
