LCRA House Bill 3693 Compliance Report
Electricity, Water and Natural Gas Consumption

On Sept. 1, 2007, Texas House Bill 3693 went into effect (creating Texas Government Code sec. 2264.101). The bill requires governmental entities, including LCRA, to disclose the entity's metered amount of electricity, water, and natural gas consumed, along with the aggregate costs for those utility services.

LCRA is committed to conserving natural resources and has initiated a three-year process that will ensure that all LCRA operational units and facilities have assessed their energy use, conducted energy use audits, and developed energy efficiency and conservation plans by December 31, 2013. For Fiscal Year 2011, we are targeting those facilities that account for 50 percent of the total energy use.
