
homas G. Mason became the Lower Colorado River Authority’s ninth general manager on Nov. 14, 2007.
Mason’s appointment caps a 20-year career at LCRA, where he previously served as general counsel and deputy general counsel.
As GM and chief executive officer, Mason is responsible for carrying out LCRA Board policy, managing LCRA’s relationships with customers and stakeholders, appointing and directing executive staff, and overseeing projects and operations.
Prior to joining LCRA in 1987, Mason served as assistant general counsel for the Texas Department of Water Resources and director of the Water Quality Division of the Texas Water Commission. He was also a partner at Henry, Lowerre & Mason, a law firm with a statewide practice in environmental and administrative law.
A native of Pasadena, Texas, Mason graduated magna cum laude from The University of Texas at Austin and received a doctorate of jurisprudence with honors from The University of Texas School of Law.
