The Regency Bridge, a suspension bridge built in 1939, connects San Saba and Mills counties.

San Saba is known as the pecan capital of the world, largely because the Colorado River and its tributary, the San Saba River, create a rich land where natural pecan groves flourish. Visitors can buy freshly baked pies, cakes and candy at local businesses.

• Colorado Bend State Park
  The park's 5,000 acres feature six miles of scenic Colorado River frontage, two spring-fed creeks, swimming holes and rocky canyons.
• San Saba Bike Trails
  Experience clean air, less traveled roads, wildlife, beautiful scenery and historic sites while enjoying a bicycle ride on one of San Saba County's bike trails. Choose routes ranging from seven to 80 miles throughout the county.
• Five Mile Hill
  Comanche Indians used this hill to send messages over long distances. Smoke signals were used to confuse enemies, send news and gather or disperse tribes. A picnic area, scenic overlook and historical marker are on the hill. Located east of San Saba on the north side of U.S. Highway 190.

• Mill Pond Park in downtown San Saba features a waterfall.

  Mill Pond Park
  Just beyond the courthouse square in San Saba is 71 acres of shady parkland that includes a spring-fed lake with a waterfall, campgrounds, nature trails and other amenities. The Saba County Museum, also located in Mill Pond Park, houses two 100-year-old log cabins, and items from Texas ranch life at the turn of the 20th century. • Wedding Oak
  This impressive 400-year-old oak is listed in "Famous Trees of Texas" and is an extremely popular spot for weddings in San Saba.
• Regency Bridge
  The Regency Bridge was the area's first bridge over the Colorado River. It has been rebuilt twice, and is one of the last remaining suspension bridges in Texas. It has just one lane and a timber floor.
• First United Methodist Church
  The First United Methodist Church of San Saba was organized in 1856 in an area so wild that the church gave the missionary a revolver. On this site, the first frame church was built in 1882. The present building, built in 1914, is made of San Saba marble and said to be the only all-marble Methodist Church in the United States.
