What's Your Story?

Is your community working to improve quality of life and economic vitality?  LCRA's Community and Economic Development Department can help write your success stories through working with you to design customized programs and services that meet the unique needs of your community.

The Community and Economic Development Department (CED) provides analysis and planning, marketing, tourism, training and leadership services for governments and organizations within the 58-county LCRA service area. The CED team works with local governments, chambers of commerce, economic development organizations, planning groups and others interested in the future of their communities.

Our services are tailored to help you achieve your goals and are offered on behalf of LCRA's electric and water customers.

  • Analysis and Planning Services - Developing long-term strategies and solutions for economic growth and sustainability
  • Community Grant Program - Providing financial support for local capital projects that improve the quality of life
  • Marketing Services - Preparing for business recruitment and retention to enhance local economies

  • Training Programs - Providing specialized training to local governments and community organizations
