Enjoy the sights of the new Pedernales River Nature Park
The Pedernales River Nature Park opened last May for limited day-use, such as picnicking and fishing, as LCRA began planning to develop the 222-acre property. LCRA is envisioning a park that meets the area’s recreational needs and serves as a showcase for land, water, and energy conservation practices. Enjoy a slideshow of Billy Moore’s photos of the park.
Pending the park’s future development, typical LCRA access and facility use fees will be temporarily waived. During the park’s planning, designing, and development phases, the park will offer limited day-use options like fishing and picnicking. As with other LCRA nature parks, admission fees will be charged and rental fees collected for facility usage once the new recreational facilities are constructed and available for public use.
