LCRA has damaged my property. Who should I call?
Call 800-776-5272, Ext. 4545, to speak with a real-estate representative.
What should the right of way look like after construction is completed?
During construction, right of way areas could become rutted or the vegetation could wear away due to vehicle traffic or other construction activities.
LCRA TSC will restore the right of way to as near original condition as possible, including replanting native grasses and other plants.
Will LCRA install gates and fences along the right of way?
LCRA does not fence the right of way. If fences cross the right of way, LCRA will install gates so that its access can be maintained along the right of way. If the landowner requests them, LCRA will install locks on the gates. LCRA always locks right-of-way gates that enter onto public roadways.
How often does LCRA patrol the lines?
Patrol cycles range between six to 18 months depending on how critical the line is.
How often does LCRA conduct line maintenance?
Right-of-way maintenance and vegetation clearing occur every two to five years after the initial clearing project. Transmission line and structure maintenance occurs every 10 years.
Does LCRA notify landowners before entering private property?
LCRA sends written notification via U.S. mail for maintenance and construction activities. However, in an emergency, LCRA is not able to send advance notice to landowners. Also, for routine patrols and inspections, LCRA does not typically provide advance notice.
Does LCRA Transmission Services use contractors to build projects?
LCRA does employ contractors to complete portions of its construction work.
Does LCRA work on the weekends?
LCRA may work on the weekends. Please call 800-776-5272, Ext. 4545, to speak with a real-estate representative if there are any concerns with working times on a project.
