LCRA Board meeting discussion and presentation
Board struggled with decision, but decided best course was to provide service with strict water quality protection measures
Dec. 20, 2004

A special meeting of LCRA's Board of Directors on Dec. 7 resulted in a commitment from LCRA to provide water service to the Hamilton Pool Road area in western Travis County.

If you missed the meeting, below are video clips of the Board's discussion and General Manager Joe Beal's response to Board member John C. Dickerson's question about how the water-quality measures in the contracts will be enforced. (The videos on this page require Apple QuickTime to view. Download the free program.)

The Hamilton Pool Road Community Forum reached a consensus on recommendations for LCRA's Board. Go to the consensus agreements report, which is on HPRforum.org's Web site in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF). (You need the Adobe Acrobat Reader to view it. Get the free reader.)

Keenan Smith was chosen by the members of the Hamilton Pool Road (HPR) Community Forum to make a presentation to the Board.

Reports from two other groups — the Regional Water Quality Planning Project and Southwest Travis County Growth Dialog Process — will be made available when they are finalized. In the meantime, go to the regional planning processes page for links to these sites.
