Water quality
Built-in protection measures

The contracts LCRA will consider to provide water service along Hamilton Pool Road include provisions developed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to protect the area's water quality. These measures include buffer zones to protect streams and environmental features, limits on impervious cover and other low-impact subdivision design elements.

When it comes to water, current and potential residents of western Travis and northern Hays counties have three basic choices today: drill a groundwater well, install a rainwater harvesting system or connect to a community water supply, if one is available.
