Editor's note

Loud and clear: The issues raised over the proposal to provide water service in the Hamilton Pool Road area were heard "loud and clear," according to Board Chair Ray Wilkerson.

As a result, the LCRA Board and staff are responding on a number of fronts. These will be covered in future issues of Water Forum. Read more.

Letter from LCRA Board Chair

A unique opportunity to provide service — and protect water quality

LCRA Board Chair Ray Wilkerson writes that LCRA's Board struggled with the difficult decision to provide water utility services to residential developments along Hamilton Pool Road. In the end, the landowners' requests for water service provided a unique opportunity to deliver badly needed drinking water while also establishing vitally needed water quality protection measures.
