Water supply
The amount of water already committed —
and the amount remaining to meet growing needs

With increasing demand for water in western Travis and northern Hays counties, the question has been asked whether there is enough water to go around. The short answer: yes. LCRA manages sufficient water resources in the lower Colorado River basin to meet projected long-term growth in municipal demands — even during a severe drought.

Read the fact sheet for details on how LCRA is planning to meet these growing needs, key terms such as "firm" and "interruptible" water and proposed revisions to the state-approved plan that guides how LCRA manages water supplies.
