Travis County Flood Map Project
Latest U.S. Corps of Engineers study shows a 100-year flood on Lake Travis would reach six feet higher than previously thought
For Immediate Release: March 18, 2005

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is remapping the floodplains of Travis County to identify the risks associated with heay rains in the Austin-Hill Country region. This is part of a nationwide effort by FEMA to revise maps that predict where floods are likely to occur.
