UPDATE: Boil-water notice lifted for residents of Bridgepoint Water System

For Immediate Release: October 24, 2007 09:10 AM

The boil-water notice has been lifted for residents of Bridgepoint Water System.

The residents were asked on Monday to boil water as a precautionary measure after a line break caused pressure in the water system to drop below 20 pounds per square inch, the point at which the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality requires that water users must be notified of the need to boil water from their taps before household use.

LCRA repaired the line break and restored water service. As customary, tests were then conducted to ensure the water was free of bacteria.

For more information, call the LCRA hotline at 1-800-776-5272, Ext. 6765, for a recorded message with the latest information.
