Central Texas options for recreational boating
Despite closures on Lake Travis, there are alternatives

| LAKE TRAVIS CLOSED TO RECREATIONAL BOATING |

Becasue of the dangerous flood conditions and debris, Lake Travis and all public boat ramps at the lake are closed for recreational boating until further notice.
Several LCRA-owned and Travis County-operated parks at Lake Travis are closed due to flooding: Bob Wentz at Windy Point, Cypress Creek, Hippie Hollow and Pace Bend. Check Travis County for latest updates.
LCRA recreation areas at the lake also are closed: Turkey Bend, Shaffer Bend, Grelle, Gloster Bend, Muleshoe Bend and Narrows.

AUSTIN – Looking for nearby public parks with water and recreational boating access? LCRA offers lots of Central Texas parks to choose from.
Reservations at most LCRA parks can be made at least 48 hours ahead by calling the Texas Parks and Wildlife Reservation Center at (512) 389-8900.
If you’re planning an overnight stay within 48 hours, call the park ahead of time to check availability. Cabin and campsite openings are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis daily and availability may be limited at some parks.

Lake Buchanan — The northernmost lake in the Highland Lakes chain. Check boat ramp page for access points or these parks:
- Black Rock Park: 25-acre park with tent sites, RV sites and air-conditioned cabins. Check on availability less than 48 hours in advance: (512) 793-3138.
- Canyon of the Eagles Nature Park: 940-acre park, including 800-acre wildlife preserve, with campsites, RV sites, 64-unit lodge, fishing docks, piers, three miles of shore, restaurant, hiking trails, observatory for stargazing. RV and campsite availability less than 48 hours in advance: (512) 389-8900. Lodge reservations: 1-800-977-0081.
Lake Bastrop
- North Shore Park: 20-acre park with universal campsites and RV sites with 50-amp and 30-amp electric and water hookups, boat ramp, fishing pier, picnic areas, pavilion, rest rooms, showers. Availability less than 48 hours in advance: 1-800-776-5272, Ext. 1922.
- South Shore Park: 40-acre park with universal campsites with water and electric hookups; cabins with electricity, outdoor water spigot, air conditioning, ceiling fan, front porch, picnic table and grill; canoe rentals, trails, playground, rest rooms, showers. Availability less than 48 hours in advance: 1-800-776-5272, Ext. 1922.
Lake Fayette
- Oak Thicket Park: 85-acre park with cabins with air conditioning, bed and bath linens, satellite TV, coffee maker, small refrigerator, microwave, bathrooms, picnic tables, grills and campfire rings; campsites with water and electric hookups; screened shelters with electricity, water, ceiling fans, picnic table, grill and fire rings; campsites with 30- or 50- amp electric hookups and water; boat ramp, dock, fishing pier, pavilion, picnic facilities, trails, sandy beach, playground, boat ramp. - Park Prairie Park: 20-acre park with tent campsites (no water or electricity), boat ramp, courtesy dock, fishing pier, picnic facilities, restrooms (no showers), and a group camping area with a screened shelter (sleeps four) with electricity, three campsites, picnic tables, grill.
