AUSTIN – The Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) is the first river authority in Texas named to the Texas Comptroller’s Leadership Circle. It recently received silver certification for fulfilling the applicable financial transparency requirements for river authorities in the Texas Transparency Check-Up.
LCRA earlier this year completed the third and final standard, providing easy public access to an annual check register. Two years of data, with some adjustments to protect competitive electric information, are now readily available on LCRA’s Web site.
“As an agency created by and accountable to the State of Texas, LCRA strives to operate as openly and cost-consciously as possible,” said LCRA General Manager Tom Mason. “We are proud to share our story of financial accountability with the people of Texas.”
LCRA’s financial information, including current and recent business plans and annual reports, is accessible from the Financial Highlights icon on its home page at www.lcra.org.
