North Shore Park on 900-acre Lake Bastrop has features to appeal to campers, anglers and nature lovers.
A boat ramp with a boat dock and fishing pier provide fishing and access for water-based recreation. There are also picnic areas that include tables, grills, a sand volleyball court, tetherball courts and a play area. Rest rooms and showers are available for park visitors. Near the day use and swim areas the North Cove Group Area provides a partially shaded site for groups of up to 50. This group area includes a large grill, picnic tables, and a large serving table.
Hike or bike on a 4.5-mile multi-use trail connecting North Shore and South Shore parks.
Boaters on Lake Bastrop and other lakes are required to drain their boats after use to help prevent the spread of zebra mussels.
Campsites North Shore has 17 general campsites available:
- Six sites are available with 50 amp with full hookups.
- Eight sites are available with 30 amp electric and water hookups.
- Three sites are available with 50 amp electric and water hookups.

855-392-7638 for a $7.50 transaction fee per site. Reservations must be made more than 48 hours in advance of arrival. Facilities get booked quickly during spring and fall, and over holidays, so make reservations early to guarantee a site. To check availability within 48 hours of your arrival, call the park directly.
