The public is invited to attend open houses concerning proposed improvements at LCRA’s Gloster Bend and Muleshoe Bend Recreation Areas. LCRA will present concepts for proposed improvements and gather comments on plans for the two LCRA parks. The Gloster Bend meeting will be on Thursday, July 10, 2008 from 5:00 to 7:30 pm, with brief presentations at 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm, at the Lago Vista Secondary School Cafeteria , 20801 Hwy 1431, Lago Vista, Texas 78645.
More than a mile of grassy shoreline is easily accessible at Gloster Bend Recreation Area on Lake Travis' north shore. Most visitors to the 586-acre recreation area come to use the boat ramp, which is open 24 hours a day. The park itself is day-use only.

LCRA Recreation Area Annual Vehicle Permit: An annual vehicle permit is available for all LCRA recreation areas: Muleshoe Bend, Grelle Park, Turkey Bend, Gloster Bend and Plum Park. The cost is $50. See instructions on how to purchase your annual permit.
Gloster Bend is on the north side of Lake Travis.
How to get there: Take FM 1431 West from Austin/Cedar Park or East from Marble Falls to Singleton Road and continue approximately 3 miles to the site entrance.
