The POWERHOUSE energy investigation program was brought to Medina Middle School by Bandera Electric Cooperative (BEC). Students learned about natural resources used to generate electricity, how electricity travels from the power plants into their homes, as well as ways to use energy more wisely. The students took home an investigation guide that resulted in a home energy audit report. Students learned how they could save on their utility bills and help the environment by being more energy and water efficient.
