POWERHOUSE was brought to Cuero Intermediate School by the City of Cuero and Guadalupe Valley Electric Cooperative (GVEC).

Students receive an 8-page energy investigation booklet to take home and fill out with their parent's assistance. The investigation booklet asks students questions about their home's energy and water use.

Student receive a 4-page personalized report based on their answers to the energy investigation guide. The report shows students what areas of their homes are using the most energy and water. The personalized report helps students and their families see how they can help conserve resources by recommending ways to save energy and water.

Compact fluorescent lighting, low-flow devices such as showerheads, faucets and toilet are shown on their reports. These idems can help save energy and water for student's households.

Thank you to the City of Cuero and GVEC for sponsoring POWERHOUSE for our school. We enjoyed learning about how to save electricity and water.
