Weather Summary and Outlook for Central Texas:
A stagnant area of high pressure over Texas will cause partly cloudy and hot weather today through Thursday. A few isolated showers will be possible late this afternoon. High temperatures both days be near 99 degrees. A weak cold front will move across the area Friday morning causing an area of showers and thunderstorms that will last into the early afternoon. Rain amounts of 0.25 to 0.50 inches are forecast. Dry and slightly cooler air will follow Friday night through Saturday night with highs in the middle 90s and lows around 70 degrees. Hot and humid weather looks to return for Labor Day.
