Mandatory Watering Schedule West Travis County Regional Water System
Customers of LCRA’s West Travis County Regional Water System may water their lawns and landscapes up to twice a week, under a mandatory schedule in effect from May 1 through Sept. 30.
The schedule applies to the system’s 3,500 retail customers, as well as an additional 4,000 customers served by utilities that get their water from the system, which serves neighborhoods and communities in western Travis and northern Hays counties.
Under the schedule, if customers want to water their lawns and landscapes, they may do so on designated days as follows:
Residential, odd-numbered addresses: Wednesdays and Saturdays
Residential, even-numbered addresses: Thursdays and Sundays
Commercial customers: Tuesdays and Fridays
Watering hours: Midnight to 10 a.m., and 7 p.m. to midnight
While the schedule and other water-saving measures are extremely valuable during the current drought conditions, these measures are beneficial regardless of how much (or little) rain our region receives. Long-term, these conservation measures will save you money on your water-utility bills – and they help manage the region’s water resources to meet long-term needs. LCRA appreciates your support in following these measures.
