Drought enforcement

The following enforcement provisions apply to all LCRA retail water customers.

Event Action
First violation

Violation witnessed by LCRA staff. The type of violation and date are documented.

Notice of violation issued. Customer is notified of actions to be taken if violations continue.

Second violation Issue surcharge of $200 on monthly water bill.
Third violation Issue surcharge of $700 on monthly water bill.
Fourth violation Cut-off service. Customer required to pay $500 reconnection fee and $500 deposit to restore service.

WATER WASTE REMINDER

During all conditions water waste is prohibited. You may be charged a minimum of $200 on your monthly water bill for misusing water. Water waste includes failing to repair a controllable leak, watering pavement and allowing a substantial amount of water to run off into a ditch or gutter.

Water MapYou can contact LCRA to report any violations to the ordinance, including automatic or hose-end sprinklers that are watering on the wrong day, leaking, or creating runoff into the streets. You can report violations to LCRA Customer Service by calling toll-free 1-877-718-4396. LCRA personnel will investigate the report and contact the property owner.
