Weather summary and outlook

The Forecast for Central Texas, August 27th-31st:  No big changes in the weather are expected the remainder of the week and this weekend as weak high pressure holds in place across the area.  Isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible each afternoon but areal coverage will only be near 20 percent.  High temperatures each day will be in the middle to upper 90s.  The outlook for next week depends on the eventual path of Tropical Storm Gustav.  For now, early next week's weather looks to be dry and hot with the temperature reaching the upper 90s.
