Working at LCRA

Where are your work facilities located?
The majority of our jobs are located in Central Texas from Marble Falls to La Grange. Some positions are located as far west as San Angelo and as far east as Matagorda on the Texas coast. Check each job posting for the specific location.

What type of benefits do you offer?

Qualifications and applying for a job

How do I find out about and apply for jobs?
We post openings at lcra.org/jobs. Applications should be submitted through the candidate portal.

How do I know if I qualify for a job?
Minimum qualifications are posted for each position. Minimum qualifications are the lowest level of education, training and experience you must meet or exceed at the time of application to be considered in the hiring process.

If I want to apply for more than one opening, do I have to submit more than one application?
Yes, you must submit an application for each position. Once you have uploaded your resume into the candidate portal, it can be used to apply for other openings.

Does LCRA hire interns?
Yes. Internship opportunities are posted in the candidate portal when internships are available. Applications should be submitted there.

Hiring process

What happens to my application after it is received by LCRA?
Once your application has been successfully submitted, you will receive a confirmation email immediately. If you are selected to go further in the process, you will be notified by email or phone.  View your application status anytime by logging in to our candidate portal.

What do the application status codes mean?
Under review = Your application is under further review.
Interview = You have been selected for an interview.
Not selected = You have not been selected for further consideration.
Cancelled = LCRA is not filling the position at this time.
Withdrawn = You have requested that your application be withdrawn from consideration.

How long does the application process take?
The process will vary by position, but can take several weeks.
