LCRA is replacing the original floodgates on Tom Miller Dam to help ensure the dam operates reliably and safely for generations to come. The $9.9 million project continues LCRA's investment in the dam and marks the dam's second extensive renovation since it was completed in 1940.
During the 18-month project, the nine floodgates will be removed one at a time and replaced with newly constructed, custom-made floodgates. Work at the dam began in August 2018.
Tom Miller Dam will remain capable of responding to floods and water supply needs throughout the project.
